Mission in Giving
As a men’s lifestyle brand, Gents offers consumers the highest quality products with a fashionable and sophisticated design aesthetic. Launching with men’s luxury baseball caps and a custom-build experience, Gents is committed to providing its customers with items of luxurious, relaxed comfort and personal style.
Gents is also committed to serving the community and helping those in need. To that end, Gents has launched a corporate giving office that will support pediatric cancer efforts and existing programs. Gents will be partnering with a select number of non-profit organizations that focus on pediatric cancer research, as well as support-based initiatives.
Each year in the U.S., there are approximately 13,400 children, between the ages of birth and 19-years-old, who are diagnosed with cancer. About one in 300 children will develop cancer before their 20th birthday. Cancer is the most common cause of death by disease for children and adolescents in America.
Melissa Bolona and Gents’ Caps
As the spokes-model for Gent’s national advertising campaign, Melissa Bolona also serves as the face for the Gents corporate giving office.
Melissa is thrilled to be working with Gents to support pediatric cancer charities and to provide hope to children in need. Melissa said, “It seemed natural for Gents to offer caps for children undergoing chemotherapy. After all, a baseball cap is such a naturally playful thing to wear. It would be great, if, even for a moment, children battling cancer, who are afraid or in pain, could identify with being at play...and also being cared for in a special way.”
In addition to her work for Gents, Melissa was photographed by John Russo for an 8 page editorial in Latin Esquire as "An American in Paris" and also for a Spring 2013 Fashion spread in Vanidades. Melissa will be featured in a solo 6-page fashion editorial for Flaunt Magazine in the March 2013 issue and be featured in a full-page editorial in Vanity Fair’s March Hollywood issue.
Melissa is also guest starring in the first of a new 13-episode series remake of the TV show The Saint. Later in the spring, Melissa will be featured in a Saks Fifth Avenue mailer going out to 20,000 top customers with a page of edit on her being the new “It Girl.” Melissa will graduate Pace University in New York in the Spring of 2013 with a degree in international marketing.
